About us

Hope and Helping Hand for Human (www.h-4.org), is a Non-government organization working with tireless dedication in the field of Education, Health, Women empowerment and Community Development which we believe are the areas of greatest need and deserve to be the foci of our attention. Education, Health, Child Development, Water & Sanitation, Women’s Empowerment and Gender Equality, are all of major importance in the community and the basic building block in any effort towards these goals is Education.

We believe the Trifecta of Education, Health and Community Development are inter-related and together is the only way to make a sustainable and impactful difference in the beneficiary population i.e. underprivileged children and women. Our work as a Holistic grassroots organization working with marginalized communities has brought us peer recognition and acknowledgment from diverse sources as the best NGO in India.

Hope and Helping Hand for Human (www.h-4.org), work with the marginalized and underprivileged communities is focused on helping them achieve socio-economic independence, self-sustainability and health. Hope and Helping Hand for Human (www.h-4.org), projects are aimed at holistic support to the community by providing Education, Mid-Day Meals, Health services to the Children in underprivileged areas thus mainstreaming marginalized street children, making low-literate youth employable and empowering women. We help those in need with full respect, love and commitment, with the aim not to deliver charity but to empower them to better their own lot.

Hope and Helping Hand for Human (www.h-4.org), is the only full-spectrum grassroots NGO in India providing services spanning the development trifecta of Education, Health and Community Development and thus able to provide a comprehensive path from poverty to prosperity and fully empower the destitute to tread it successfully.

Hope and Helping Hand for Human (www.h-4.org), is able to spend greater than 88% of the funding it receives directly on its projects for the children and communities building schools and toilets, buying books and medicines, etc. This is because we are the best NGO in Delhi with multiple centers. We can efficiently direct the money where it is needed. Also, we have very low overhead costs because executive functions are carried out pro bono by the founding family.

Over the last two decades, Hope and Helping Hand for Human (www.h-4.org), executives’ combined expertise in medicine, education and management, dedication to giving back to the less fortunate and ability to spark the same passion in others and have them sign up to the cause, has led Hope and Helping Hand for Human (www.h-4.org), to scale ever greater heights. Our Journey  JOURNEY

In 2016, when Mr. Sujeet Kannaujia (President), Mr. Manish Kr. Shukla (General Secretary) & Sundram Shrivastava (Treasurer) of Hope and Helping hand for Human (www.h-4.org), observed in India after working many years in the area of Education, Health, Women Empowerment, they found that millions of displaced Children (including child labor, street bagger) Women (slum women health & safety) and rural poor had migrated to urban areas like Delhi in search of better opportunities and were living in abject poverty in unauthorized settlements which lacked basic facilities like Education, Health & Nutrition, Medical Treatment, Water, Sanitation, Employment, shelter, etc.

Uneducated and poor, they scraped an existence as manual labor. Their children grew up malnourished and sickly and without education, followed in their parents’ footsteps. It was a heart-breaking situation.

Uniquely placed to help by virtue of his global experience in public health and education, Mr. Sujeet Kannaujia, President of Hope and Helping hand for Human (www.h-4.org) along with Mr. Sundram Shrivastava to help these forgotten and marginalized children and communities.

In 2017, Hope and Helping hand for Human (www.h-4.org), began work in the area of Health & Hygiene wherein, supported by the Nations and others organization, Hope and Helping hand for Human (www.h-4.org), began to build street schools which name Ummido ki Pathsala in the slums and educate children and communities about Preventive Medicine and Hygiene.

This was critical to reducing the incidence of diseases and water-borne epidemics that frequently afflicted these settlements and resulted in high rates of child, maternal and overall mortality.

Working in the Street schools, Hope and Helping hand for Human (www.h-4.org), staff noticed the high drop-out rate of slum children. Hope and Helping hand for Human (www.h-4.org), believes that education is vital for the development of a child, enlarging her vision of the world and herself, instilling curiosity, awareness, values and a belief and ability to chart her own destiny.

Thus, supported by Government agencies, Hope and Helping hand for Human (www.h-4.org), began work in the area of Elementary Education, running Early Education Centers to care for the health and education of pre-school children and Non-Formal Education Centers and Remedial Classes to track down, motivate and equip drop-outs to rejoin the mainstream.

In 2020, Mr. Sujeet Kannaujia, efforts from the start, assumed the leadership of Hope and Helping hand for Human (www.h-4.org). A successful CEO of a multinational corporation himself, he realized that though health and elementary education are necessary first steps in the upliftment and development of slum children, something further is needed to make them employable and able to earn a regular and decent livelihood.

Mr. Sujeet then initiated the vital Vocational Training project which today equips low-literate youth with marketable skills like computer training, beauty culture, proficiency in English, etc, that allows them to find jobs that double their previous combined family income and have growth potential, thus empowering them to Break the Cycle of Poverty for themselves, their families and their future generations.

Supporting the Health and Education projects over the years was our growing work in Community Development: building awareness in slums about hygiene, the importance of education, girl child upliftment and women’s empowerment.

Hope and Helping Hand for Human is ably helmed by Mr. Sujeet Kannaujia, Mr. Sundram an Accounting professional, a successful business person, and an integral part of Hope and Helping hand for Human (www.h-4.org), since the beginning.
